CHANHASSEN, Minnesota – Legendary singer ‘Prince’ has died at the age of 57. The singer-songwriter passed away at his Paisley Park studio in Chanhassen, Minnesota on Thursday April 21 – the news was confirmed by the Associated Press.
TMZ reported that police responded to the studio at 9:43 a.m. – Prince had been rushed to a hospital on April 15th after his private plane had to make an emergency landing in Illinois, he was to perform a concert in Atlanta at that time.
The plane at that time landed in Quad City International Airport in Rock Island County, he was battling the flu for several weeks and returned home shortly after.
Prince became a legend in the music industry in the late 1970’s and 80’s. He is best known for the song “Purple Rain” but many of remember his song ‘Little Red Corvette’ and more.
Oddly Prince’s former protege ‘Vanity 6’ died at the age of 57 as well. She passed away in February from kidney failure. Prince paid tribute to her in a concert following the news.
