The gun of Wyatt Earp’s notorious shootout at the O.K. Corral in Tombstone, Arizona has been sold at auction for $225,000. The Auction conducted by J. Levine Auction brought in a total of $445,000 in Earp and Earp’s family related material. Levin’s Auction company is located in Scottsdale, Arizona and conducted the auction live and on the phone.
The infamous Earp Colt 45 pistol sold on the phone Thursday night to an undisclosed buyer in New Mexico. Also sold at the auction was a rifle owned by Earp, selling under the hammer at $150,000.
